The path of mindfulness meditation and concentration
In this masterclass we will explore meditation in movement with a full 90 minute Vinyasa practice followed by 30 minutes seated guided meditation.
We will be exploring how to tame the monkey mind with the practice of dharana, or the practice of concentrating the mind on one single point of focus. Research shows that when we are being mindful and focusing on the present moment, one becomes more empathetic, compassionate, and happier. We will explore both the philosophy behind and different techniques used for dharana and mindfulness which can be achieved both on and off the mat. The practice of dharana, can be a revolutionary practice, which allows the yogi/yogini to find liberation from the ‘prison between one’s ears.’
