With 19 years of experience as a yoga practitioner and lately as a yoga teacher, my background is based mostly on the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga system taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and on Bryan Kest’s Power Yoga. I teach a Dynamic Flow Yoga class focusing on movement of the body in harmony with the breath (Vinyasa krama). My classes are set to music, with variations given to suit all levels.
I encourage my students to move with grace and lightness, emphasizing a yoga krama approach throughout the practice. Students of mixed abilities move through sequences and take progressive higher options in their asana as their abilities and needs suit them. A focus on the mind-body connection is given to calm student’s minds and achieve a sense of greater balance and well-being throughout their practice.
